I Lost My Virginity to Furless!

Okay, hold onto your horses. Don't simply jump into a conclusion yea. *evil grins*

I know what you guys are thinking when you read the title of my blog post. lmao! Yes I did lost my ‘virginity’ but not in that sort of way. As a matter of fact, I’m going to tell you guys my first ever Brazilian waxing experience! FYI, Brazilian wax means bikini wax. All this is made possible by Furless, a newly open waxing saloon located in Jaya One. I received a complimentary ‘Threesome’ pass that allows me to go for 3 waxing sessions, explaining the term, threesome. *winks* Being completely honest, I was super hesitating to go because I have never ever try waxing before on any part of my body so you can imagine my worries when my first time waxing would be at my intimate area. *bites nails*

Scared until my body shivered!… Alright, I exaggerated but still I was super nervous. :(


There is a reason why Furless motto is ‘Be Fearless’. They believe that a woman shouldn’t be afraid of unwanted hairs seen by people & I agree! They aim to help woman to be set free like a bird; well you know what I mean. *giggles* Also, Furless specialized in three imported waxes such as one for sensitive skin (ease redness & irritation), one for long coarse hairs (lighten the pain of hair removal) & one for short hair (ensure even the shortest stubbles are removed). Not only that, their prices are affordable comparing to the rest of waxing saloon I seen before. Thus you can be hairless without burning a huge hole in your wallet. ;)



I like the interior design of the saloon especially these cute little cubicle seats. Somehow when I went there, it didn’t feel like a waxing saloon, instead I felt like a chill out place. Also the atmosphere did help me to calm down my nervousness while waiting for my turn. Not forgetting the company I had that day made me feel way more at ease. hehe.



My waxing-partners-in-crime, Sui Ying & Yuki! Guess what?... It was the first time for all three of us! *big wide smile* I wasn’t alone! Hallelujah…

Among the three of us, Yuki was the bravest as she volunteered to go first. I think it's also because she wanted to get it over with & not prolong the torture of waiting. I went in second & Sui Ying followed me after that. Yuki was quite ‘evil’ because I asked her how was it & she didn’t wanted to tell me! Looking at her expression at the same time, it made triple nervous than I was before! *pulls hair* Nonetheless, let me tell you how it was like for me. No photos were taken during the process let me tell you first. haha. Anna, who was the therapist for all of us, did a very good job throughout the whole waxing process. She is a very friendly person; as I entered the room, she made me feel at ease by talking to me so I don’t feel awkward as she starts to wax. Definitely there was pain, especially the first strip but it was a bearable pain, as in not that pain until you can start crying on the spot. The pain became less painful as it went on; the whole time I was just talking to Anna to distract me from the pain & we had a such pleasant conversation. *smile* Anna ended the waxing process with a cold treatment to soothe the skin & this came at no extra charge ladies. If you have experience facial treatment before, you will know what I’m talking about; the cold machine helps to tone down redness & itchiness of the skin. It’s exactly the same thing but this time it’s used on the intimate area instead.



Though I had no expectation of what to anticipate from a Brazilian wax, I can certainly said this is one-of-a-kind experience. I highly doubt waxing your arms & legs are the same as waxing on your intimate area. lol. However based on my personal experience, I recommend anyone to try out Furless, especially for first timers because the staffs just know how to put you at ease & make you feel like at home instantly. I may not look like a shy person but I am actually, specially when comes to these private matters. I didn’t feel shy nor did I feel awkward from the beginning of the process until the end. This only goes to show how good is the customer service at Furless right. If you can’t take pain like I can (as if I’m high tolerance of pain >.<), you can always take a break in between. Anna did ask me a few times if the pain was too unbearable & if I would like to stop in between but it was still alright for me so I just continued. Overall it was really a good experience for me & I’m looking forward for my next session next week! Who knows I might start to go for Brazilian wax on a constant basis. :P

They are seriously one of the nicest people I have met so far when comes to product services. Anything I was unsure of, they answered all of my queries on the spot. Also, I owe Furless my gratitude that I have nothing to fear of when comes to waxing. *throws confetti* I used to dread it whenever I hear the word ‘waxing’ itself but now, I’m totally fine with it! It is not that scary & painful that I thought it was from hearing the bad experiences my friends went through.
