Legend of the Guardians : The Owls of Ga’Hoole

When I thought there wouldn’t be any more new cartoon animal heroes, I was wrong. How often can you watch owls flying around saving the day? Well if you haven’t (so am I), you got to catch the “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole”. :)

Synopsis

Acclaimed filmmaker Zack Snyder makes his animation debut with the fantasy family adventure “Guardians of Ga’Hoole,” based on the beloved books by Kathryn Lasky. The film follows Soren, a young owl enthralled by his father’s epic stories of the Guardians of Ga’Hoole, a mythic band of winged warriors who had fought a great battle to save all of owlkind from the evil Pure Ones. While Soren dreams of someday joining his heroes, his older brother, Kludd, scoffs at the notion, and yearns to hunt, fly and steal his father’s favor from his younger sibling. But Kludd’s jealousy has terrible consequences causing both owlets to fall from their treetop home and right into the talons of the Pure Ones. Now it is up to Soren to make a daring escape with the help of other brave young owls. Together they soar across the sea and through the mist to find the Great Tree, home of the legendary Guardians of Ga’Hoole Soren’s only hope of defeating the Pure Ones and saving the owl kingdoms.

Thanks a million to Adverlets again, if not for them we wouldn’t be able to watch the screening. In addition, Xiangcool is giving out 5 pairs of tickets (courtesy of Adverlets of course) to 5 lucky winners just by submitting your own blog post.

For my enrty, I want to watch “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole” because I’m a huge animal lover. I won’t miss any opportunities to watch any movies with animals in it & the best part of this movie is that it would be in 3D! =3

Besides that, I have chosen the Northern Saw-whet Owl Aeaolius acadicus (shown above) as my most favorite species of owl. Don’t be surprise by the amount of names it has been called. The common name "Saw-whet" comes from these Owls unique calls described below. The Saw-whet Owl is also called Acadian Owl, blind Owl, Kirkland's Owl, the saw-filer, the sawyer, sparrow Owl, white-fronted Owl, Farmland Owl, Little Nightbird, Queen Charlotte Owl, and even the Whet-saw Owl

The reason why I like this owl so much is because is relatively very small in size, very fluffy & has short bodies! ♥ ♥   Is hard not to fall in love with this adorable creature in its cuteness! hehe.

Studies for Finals

Quickie updates!

Actually I’m studying for my next paper tomorrow which will be the Introduction to Abnormal Psychology, Personality & Human Development. Long isn’t it? Yes, this is the title for ONE of the subjects I’m taking this semester. *faints*

Anyways, I had my first paper this morning which was Business Statistic. I was kind of nervous for the paper as I’m not that good in calculating but better at memorizing. However, I surprised myself as I know how to do most of the questions in the exam than I expected. I hope what I did was correct. *cross fingers*

So each student was allowed to bring in 1 textbook & 2 pieces of handwritten notes. For me no point bringing in the thick & bulky textbook (I don’t have one as well) so I brought in my colorful notes! ;PWritten Notes (1)
When the lecturer saw my notes, she asked me this question: "How long did you took to make these notes?" lol!
Written Notes (2)

Alright need to continue back studying. *drags myself back to the study table*

Wish me all the best for my final!. hehe
